2024 Winter Series
For taking out the RYCV Sayonara Summer Series perpetual trophy
the passing of congratulating goes to our redheaded Tumlaren No. 96 HERE
Avian. A great show by the co-helmsmen , that great man in the form
of Roger Dundas and Ian Johnson. Back up by the formidible crew work of Martin Delves and
Dave Pizzey.was a noted feature of this series win by Avian.
The performances throughout the series by the runner up podium placings, Boambillee and
Cvan were notable.. The handicappers encouragement award must go these two podium
placings.
The time is of the present.
Meaning it’s time to sort out your boat’s entry into the CYAA (Vic) 2024 Winter Series of
classic yacht racers on Port Phillip.
Click HERE to begin your series entry process. A series entry prior to race one, is required to
be included in the best of the overall series point score.
The courses used for this series will use the same courses for the prior summer series. The
RMYS conducted races will be a combination of RMYS Tower and Committee boat starts.
Here’s to another great turnout out of classic yachts competing in the 2024 winter series of
Classic Yacht racing on Port Phillip.

Both passage racing and special course racing have been proposed
for the 2024 Cup Regatta.

Passage race to use the 1907 Sayonara Cup course of 22 NM’s
Hobsons Bay–SYC 4 – SYC 5– Point Cook Bank — Finish at Time
Ball tower line.

Special course is the course used for the first(1838) sailing event on
Port Phillip. Hobsons Bay–Red Bluff(Point Ormond)—Return Miss Zena Hewitt, from the deck of the
RYCV yacht Saguenay, gives a welcome
wave to our 2024 Cup Regatta entrants
