Meets New Friends
In the true Old Las Vegas Supper Club tradition, tiered rows of tables were lavishly decorated
in black and red. Each three foot tall centerpiece comprised of miniature slot machines, red
boas, black derby hats, white gloves, long strands of pearls, red-hot dice, poker playing cards,
martini and Champagne glasses and authentic plastic guns which were the topic of many
conversations and a few plastic gun battles.
“Oceans Eleven,” played on a screen behind the mesh silver buffet tables that held minestrone
style salad with ditilini and pesto vinaigrette, marinated buffalo mozzarella and tomato with fresh basil, Italian
bread salad with cucumber, tomato and cabernet dressing, farfalle pasta with brocollini and virgin olive oil and
garlic, pan flashed salmon, sun dried tomato cream, chicken marsala, with mushrooms and marsala wine sauce and
char-grilled flank steak with artichokes and wild mushrooms.
Stylized 1960’s shelved-dessert carts offered tiramisu and Italian cookies, assorted house made biscotti,
mascarpone Sambucca fruit tarts and pistachio ricotta cannolis, placed on each tier while servers poured hot
steaming coffee and tea.
After the awards and a roast, “What
About Chuck?” the evening ended with
Cashman Photo presenting each guest
with a black padded Hilton Photo
Folder holding their picture with the Rat
Pack.
So to all of you cats, the staff at The Las
Vegas Hilton, Cashman Photo, Trent
Carlini and Encore Productions thanks
for providing Friends of Red Rock
Canyon with a groovy event, you are
really cool!
