There are many privately owned storefronts like Parcel Plus compa
nies that allow you to use "their street address" and put your "mail
box number" as just #. That way it looks like a suite number, and
you do NOT have to say p.o. BOX #. That screams, "1 don't work
in a real office," and you'd rather emphasize the professionalism of
your business. Today, many P.O. boxes have "real" street addresses
and you just need to put the box number as, say, #100, so it looks
like a suite number!
Stay away from:
My Company, p.o. Box 501 , Any City, USA, 00000
Get something like:
My Company, 100 Main Street #501, Any City, USA, 00000
It's especially useful if you get a PO. box on a street known for
commercial business, not a residential-sounding street, such as
court or terrace. It sounds like I'm making a big fuss over a small
detail, but these small items can make a significant difference in
how your company is perceived.
If a buyer is in town and wants to see your office, which
happens, don't worry. Just say, "I work out of my
let's meet at. . . ." But until then, mum's the word.

panies such as the UPS Store (www. theupsstore.com) and Mail Boxes
Etc. (www.mbe.com) offer this service .
Be sure to get a box that is close to your home , because you will
want to keep up-to-date on your mail and you don't want to waste
