Need for Quantitative Assessment
Background
▪ Cawangan Kejuruteraan Cerun (CKC), Jabatan Kerja Raya
has been promoting Quantitative Risk Assessment (QRA)
techniques since 2014 to manage landslide risks as well
as to measure the performance of its own slope safety
system.
▪ In the studies conducted by CKC from 2014 till 2017, it
was concluded that QRA can be a useful tool to facilitate
the approval of new hillside developments and to
prioritize rectification works of existing slopes.
