Frequency vs Fatality Chart
Types of F-N Chart
Frequency vs Number of Fatality (F-N) charts may be used
to depict three different types of information:
1. The historical record of incidents. Is normally regional and
used for performance monitoring purposes.
2. The acceptance criteria for judging the tolerability of risk.
Used for risk evaluation, e.g. GEO HK Social Risk Criteria.
3. The results of a Quantitative Risk Analysis (QRA). Is normally
site specific and used as part of decision-making process.
Note: F-L Diagram could also be used for risk assessment.
