Tell us about your time
at Seaford
I joined in Year 12 and it was
daunting at first but once you’re
here it’s so friendly. I love it.
It’s a school that’s ambitious for
every student but it’s in a gentle
way, not in your face. I would
have crumbled under strong
academic pressure. It’s nice we
have the balance here with things
like sport and performing arts.
You’re left to do the best that you
can do. I’m not stressed out. You
learn to do enough for you. The
co-curricular time balances things
out as it means you’re not in
academic mode all day. The staff
are really friendly. I wasn’t thriving
at my old school and now I am.
What advice would you give to
someone coming to Seaford?
Do things that take you out of
your comfort zone. Take as many
opportunities as you can. The
more you do it, the easier
it becomes as you get into the
flow of it.
I’ve put myself out of my comfort
zone by becoming a prefect. I
know that if I’ve done that, there’s
nothing I can’t do. It’s nice to
know it’s not the end of the world
if I make a mistake too.
I love Seaford because...
Everyone is so focused on helping
you grow as an individual and to
develop further.

Why did you choose Seaford?
Fundamentally because of
the teachers, the atmosphere,
and the beauty of it. It is just
stunning. I loved it when I visited
on the Open Day and Sixth
Form Evening. Over the years,
there have been more and more
facilities developing – the teachers
have helped me develop my
passion for Geography.
I love Seaford because...
It’s given me confidence; a lot of
confidence and I feel secure here.
I’ve become more ambitious and
feel I could achieve anything I
want to. The way you’re treated
gets the best out of you, it’s an
amazing school.

Why did you choose Seaford?
I came here as an HMC scholar
from Ukraine. I really like it, it’s a
very welcoming community. I
board so I have got to know a lot
of people.
What has Seaford done for you
as a person?
I’m academic and the teachers
have been really good. I enjoy the
lessons and the teachers have
supported me to get my Oxford
university offer. On a personal
level, I have learnt about balance
in life, and I now regularly use
the gym to stay fit and healthy.
I wasn’t into fitness before I
joined Seaford in Year 12 and it’s
something I plan do for the rest of
my life.
I’m leaving Seaford with a lot
more confidence and I feel I
can achieve anything I want to
achieve. It’s taught me that I
can overcome challenges and
problems and that’s an important
life skill.
