listening instruction tailored to the principles of their respective scenarios,
whereas the control group received instruction based on AOL principles. The
students' listening skills were assessed by using the Oxford Placement Test
(OPT). The researchers neither created their test nor made learning materials
for the students. They also did not provide the SA and PA guidelines to evaluate
their assignment. The students were only explicitly instructed to write a diary
reflecting on their strengths and problems following a listening exam.
Following the implementation of the intervention, it was discovered that the
AfL and AaL groups exhibited much better performance than the AoL group.
The integrated assessment group also showed significantly superior
performance to the other experimental groups. The outcome demonstrates the
advantages of using AfL, AaL, and AoL in the English as a Foreign Language
(EFL) setting.
The scholars' interest in examining the benefits of using Zoom meetings
as an alternative instruction for teaching writing during emergencies like the
COVID-19 pandemic has been raised. An investigation carried out by Erna et
al. (2022) involving 30 students from the English Education Department in
Indonesia showed that the utilization of the Zoom meeting platform yielded
effective learning outcomes amidst the COVID-19 pandemic. The
questionnaire findings revealed that most students believed that utilizing Zoom

meetings facilitate the separation of work tasks, enhance learning effectiveness,
and enable the monitoring of student engagement and progress during the
