Chicagoland, to be relevant and meaningful to all people in

The Society has a formal program and staff devoted
to diversity and inclusion, although these efforts extend
throughout everything we do. We are committed to have a
diverse and inclusive workforce and workplace. We strive
to extend opportunities to certified Minority and Wom-

bid on opportunities to provide needed goods and services.
In addition, we seek to reflect the diversity of the surround-
ing Chicagoland area. Our commitment is reflected in our

work group, called Arcoiris, which means “rainbow” in
Spanish. These groups oversee, guide, and direct many
diversity efforts and events of the Society and at Brookfield
Zoo and serve as resource for the organization related to
diversity and inclusion.
