Absenteeism without permission attracts penalty of N1,000 per day. Continuous absence
after a day is N2,000 per day. Any teacher who continues to be absent for five working
days maybe be dismissed from the school.
No teacher is allowed to go to other classes without cogent reason.
No teacher is allowed to sell anything to the pupils.
No teacher is allowed to collect any money from pupil(s) without the notification of
the head teacher or Principal.
No staff is expected to quarrel or engage in physical fight with another staff or
parent. Any offender will be dismissed summarily.
No staff is allowed to give corporal punishment to any pupil. Any staff found to do so
may be dismissed.
Caregivers are not allowed to teach pupils in the class. Any caregiver found doing so may
be dismissed.
No teacher or caregiver is allowed to eat pupils’ food. Any offender may be
dismissed.
No employee is expected to steal or misappropriate the school funds or properties.
Offender may be dismissed.
Every employee must refrain from circulating false rumors, writing or drawing pictures in
the premises of the school with intent of discrediting the names of individuals and or
management and thereby bringing misunderstanding or discord within the school.
Above mentioned shall render the staff concerned liable to disciplinary action, which may
lead to warning, suspension, termination, dismissal or face legal action depending on the
circumstances of the case.
4.3 STAFF EXIT
4.3.1 EMPLOYMENT TERMINATION
Termination of employment is an inevitable part of personnel activity within any
school, and many of the reasons for termination are routine.
Resignation – voluntary employment termination initiated by an employee is
expected to be in the following forms:
Notice period for Management and academic staff: At least one month notice to the
end of term or one month pay in lieu of notice of disengagement. In view of this,
academic staff whose appointment will be terminated by the organization for
non-disciplinary reasons will also be given one notice of intent of termination or be
paid a one month basic salary in lieu of notice by the school.
Notice period for non-academic staff: non-academic staff are expected to give one
full month notice period of intent resignation or pay to the organization a month’s
basic pay in lieu of notice.
Also non-academic staff whose appointment is terminated by the organization for
non-disciplinary reasons will also be given one full month’s notice of termination of
appointment or be paid one month basic salary in lieu of notice.
