                   Course


                   Description





                   This  course  examines  the  historical  foundation  of

                   psychology,  from  when  psychology  was  part  of

                   philosophy, the influence of science/physiology, to
                   where  it  stands  as  it  is  today.  Students  will  also

                   learn  about  the  different  schools  of  psychology,

                   including  structuralism,  functionalism,  gestaltism,

                   psychoanalysis, behaviorism, and humanism.

                 Able to respect diversity in cultures, views, beliefs, religions, and the opinions of others.
                 Able to collaborate and be socially aware of others and the environment.
                 Able to master the basic concept of psychology to illustrate and analyze psychological
                 elements in individuals, groups, organizations, and communities.
                 Able  to  apply  logical,  critical,  and  systematic  thinking;  be  innovative  in  the  context  of
                 implementing  knowledge  and  technology  discerningly,  and  apply  humanist  values  per
                 one’s field of expertise.
                 Able to adapt, collaborate, create, contribute, and innovate in implementing knowledge in
                 public life as well as becoming a citizen with global insight.
                 Able  to  analyze  non-clinical  psychological  problems  and  behavioral  issues,  as  well  as
                 provide alternative solutions.
