Creating an Express Bill
Enter Bill Line

1. Enter the line Description as it will appear on the invoice.
This is also the description that will be used in financial reports. A good description is important, subject to a 30-character
limit.
Quantity and Unit of Measure will default to 1 EA (Each). Typically, you would not change these defaults when using Express
Billing.
For contract billing (such as consulting arrangements), refer to the How do I Create Contract Invoices? job aid.
For other billing situations, consider using the Standard Billing page.
2. Enter the Unit Price.
The Gross Extended price will auto-calculate when you save the invoice.
3. Click the plus button to add a new line if needed.
You can save the bill at any time. The first time you save, the Invoice Number will be generated.
Add a Line Note (Optional)
Use Line Notes if you need to enter a more detailed description. The Line - Note option can be found on the Navigation list at the
bottom of the bill entry page.

2. Select Line - Note.
The Line - Notes tab displays.
3. Enter the Note Text.

4. Click the Save button.
5. Click the Billing General tab to return to the bill
entry page.
