He didn’t outlive the Afghans, but when the last of them passed away we were sure we

couldn’t live without a dog. Somehow we heard of the White German Shepherd that was
just being established as a breed, and we were fascinated. The bitch we got was a lovely
character – she was like a nanny for the children, even pulled them on a sled! She also got
along very well with our tomcat Rusty.
