Oreïda, born on 17 June 1898 in Gardaia, Algeria,
and bred from Muska and Sidi Sjeig I, breeder
August Le Gras, who imported her to the
Netherlands, owner Michel La Fontijn. Mostly with
lop ears on all photos available of her, with a kink
at the ear lobe, therefore possibly mobile. A photo
of Sidi Sjeig 1 shows ears like Oreida's.
There are a few photos of imported Sloughis that apparently show lop ears. It can be
seen, for example, in Oreïda, who was born in Gardaia, Algeria. Like her mother Muska
and Schaab, she was imported to the Netherlands by August Le Gras.
CHARADES OF LINE BREEDING
To illustrate the relevants of the mass of inherited Salukis that have been passed down
through the generations from the above-mentioned Salukis in the 1980s to the current
breeding of Sloughis, here are two examples from the Breed Archive.
