Now we add up in the same way in the ancestors of the fifth generation how often Jenna
occurs and how often Laba'an II Al Khalij occurs, both Salukis by descent:
-Jenna 98.5 times
-Laba'an II Al Khalij 44.5 times
In total, a Saluki appears 143 times in example A in terms of ancestry. It should be noted
that Ata is not shown in the pedigree. So far he is listed as a 100% Tunisian import in the
Breed Archive. It is not entirely wrong to assume that he was imported from Tunisia, the
breeder in northern Tunisia is the Nabli family. Gervais Cazin, breeder at the Magistère
kennel in France, says about the pedigree, on facebook on 02 December 2021 with A. Brigel, B.
Lignon and M. Canivenq:
" ... The Tunisian breeding of Mr Nabli, present on the paternal line through Ata, has used
starting in 2009: Magistère Vajra on several of his bitches, then Ben Bahram Fares-Megouar
joined in 2010 by 2 Sloughis Siham, granddaughter and grandson of Ben Bahram Azrou. Before
this date, there were no red sand Sloughis with the Nabli family, and even fewer black coats or
coats with dark overlay.
Ata, father Ben Bahram Fares-Megouar X mother (daughter or granddaughter} of Magistère
Vajra.
Magistère Vajra is present in the first and second generation in a large number of breeding
animals from Mr Nabli and some European expert breeders.
For us, the term pure Tunisian and pure Moroccan is not relevant. We can compare the history
of the Sloughi with that of the Arabian thoroughbred. Some lines have left their country of origin
only to return, the resulting genetic mixing can only be favourable for the breed, even if some
breeders from the Maghreb are mainly European in their lines.
