So we see that although Ata was born in Tunisia, he was by no means of Tunisian descent.
Cazin has so far remained silent about Ata's maternal ancestry, or only hinted at it in the
letter quoted above.
What we also see with Cazin and his colleagues above is that the FCI standard is quite
unimportant to them. He is referring to Xavier Przezdziedzki's statement in "Les Lévriers" that
Sloughis and Salukis are the same thing. This is simply wrong, as we have already proven
above. However, his statement that his Sloughis are "Arabian thoroughbreds", so to speak,
must be regarded as correct in terms of their designation, as they are simply based on dogs
that are Arabian Salukis according to the Saluki standard.
Perhaps one possibility would be to correct this mislabelling as "Sloughis" and list them
correctly by pedigree as "Salukis" in the Breed Archive and in the Pawpeds?
