We decided to try showing him in local AKC
shows, enjoying not to have to drive huge

distances to show a Sloughi. As expected,
O’Dah won with all judges knowledgeable in
the conformation requirements of the breed,
but his 2 granddaughters did win a few times
against him. In fact, one judge explicitly
stated that she liked our 7 year old bitch
better in terms of temperament and overall
showmanship but gave the Best of Breed to

O’Dah because of his superior breed type. In
limited showing between May and October
of 2018, O’Dah raked in 4 majors and 2 points
to become with almost 14 years and 5
months what will be for a long time the

oldest Sloughi ever to finish an AKC
Champion title, including a group placement
