Sloughi 1897, Henry Evenepoel in a garden in Algeria and Marabout
Sidi Obed, Museum Bastille.
Lastly, let us look at the description of a Sloughi as given by Daumas:
“... he has a pale colour, tall stature, pointed muzzle, broad forehead, short ears, muscular
neck, strong back muscles, no body, dry legs, prominent sinews, short fetlocks, a hollow sole,
very long forearm, a black mouth, black tongue and very soft hair.
There must be room for four fingers between the two feet, and the end of the tail, which
passes between the hind feet, must still reach the bone of the hanks” (p.158).
