VANDERPUIJE

AKA - MADAM COOLER or AUNTIE GRAND MAA

ADAM JANET Vanderpuije affectionately called
Auntie Grandma or Madam Cooler, was born on 6th
MApril 1929 in Koforidua to Mr Peter Vanderpuije (Uncle
Two) and Madam Virginia Muange, both of blessed memory.
She was the fourth child among six children and the last to pass
on. She had her basic education in Accra at the Accra Royal
School from 1936-1948.

Maa Jane was a very good athlete and her performance
during inter school's games earned her the nickname
“ZOOZOO”. It was therefore not surprising that the National
Athletic Association expressed its desire to sponsor her abroad.

Maa Jane was to proceed abroad to improve on her athletic
prowess. This could not happen because she had met her
dream life partner Daniel Atuah Quao of blessed memory and
had just commenced raising their nucleus family. Their union
was eventually blessed with nine children; four males and ve
females.

Madam Janet Vanderpuije travelled the length of Ghana's
coastal and near hinterland towns accompanying her husband
on his work postings.
