Herbalism is one the oldest forms of treatment
known. The earliest indication for the use of
herbs as treatment date back to prehistoric
times with herbs found in graves older than
60000 years.
Herbs provide an endless number of treatments
that have been used for centuries in each
civilisation. There are Egyptian documents that
date around 1900BC that show treatments
in cows and Greek and roman ones treating
horses that date around 500 BC. Hippocrates
was an important influence in herbal and
veterinary medicine between 460 and 377 BC.
Vets have been using solely herbs to treat their
patients until very recently.

The process by which plants, therefore also
herbs, transform the energy of the sun to
produce the building blocks for the synthesis of
primary and secondary compounds is the way
that herbs transfer the energy from the sun, its
vitality, into us and the animals to restore ours
and their vitality.
We are all energy. That combined with the
elements of water, air and earth, all life forces
that produce the alchemy by which they help us
and our pets restore our health.
Plants have evolved and have had natural
selection even before animals and alongside
them.
Animals have self-medicated by using plants
available to them to treat various ailments. For
the animals keeping healthy can be a matter
of life or death. They need to stay healthy to
survive in the wild. So actually, using herbs to
treat animals is the most natural way.
