If I rewind back to the beginning, the Enryb
affix was registered in 1979. My first gundog Frank
was the Irish Setter, Enryb Salute to Monty. retrieving
I enjoyed showing the Irish Setters throughout the geese
the 1980s. I bred a couple of litters and enjoyed
moderate success in the ring. My judging career
commenced in 1989 and I widened my interest
and appreciation of other gundog breeds and
greatly admired the Weimaraner. In 1990 I
shared my affix with my then partner, the late,
Mike Egan. We began our search for a quality
“grey pointing” dog of our own. After visiting
several kennels, in 1990 we brought home
our first Weimaraner, Winnie, from Stephen
and Patsy Hollings Gunalt Kennel. In 1991 we
bought in a male dog from the Ansona kennel,
‘Chez” who became Mike’s constant companion.
He was campaigned to, Irish Sh Ch Ansona
Winchester at Enryb. I campaigned Winnie
to become Sh Ch & Irish Sh Ch Gunalt
Garden Party at Enryb. She was the valuable
foundation bitch at ENRYB and produced
Enryb Home Alone, “Our Billy,” a singleton
puppy when put to Sh Ch Hansom Portman
of Gunalt. Enryb Home Alone became a very Sunflowers. This litter was a significant one for
