21.7.12) or Twiggy became the first Weimaraner
to participate in Heelwork to Music whilst still a
pup in 2000 and later the first to appear on the
sofa with Ben Fogle on BBC1 when that channel
still covered Crufts!
In 2004 she became the first Weimaraner to be
invited to participate in the final UK Superdog
Competition and, when Canine Multisports
was launched in 2005, Twiggy became the first
Weimaraner to gain Levels 1 & 2.
She was the first Weimaraner bitch and first
longhair to win a Working Trial Certificate (or
ticket) in 2005 and thus became the first bitch
and longhair to compete at the KCCs (Kennel
Club Championships) in 2006.
In Schutzhund (now known as IGP) she was the
first (and to date only) Weimaraner to achieve

the “Begleithund” (Character Test) in 2003, the
“Ausdauerprufung” (Endurance Test) and the
“Fahrtenhund 1” (Advanced Tracking) in 2006
and “Fahrtenhund 2” (Superior Tracking) in 2007.
In 2006 she became the first longhair to be
awarded the Working Gundog Certificate which
qualified her to enter the Special Working
Gundog Bitch class at Crufts where she became
the first longhair winner in 2010.
2010 also saw her become the first longhair
to gain the BMHS (Bavarian Mountain Hound
Society) “Schweisshund” (Blood Tracking)
Aptitude Certificate; the first Longhair to
be shown under FCI rules in Ireland at the
Weimaraner Club of Ireland’s Championship
show gaining a BoB in Veteran Bitch; as
well as becoming the first Weimaraner to be
Temperament Tested “Excellent” under the
British Rottweiler Association’s Scheme.
Some of her less significant milestones include
Bronze, Silver and Gold Good Citizen Awards,
becoming a registered PAT (Pets as Therapy)
Dog and several placings at KC Licensed Agility
Shows.
