2. Safety

Safe Operators Saves lives!

Safety is everyone's responsibility. Although safety features are incorporated into the machine and dangerous
areas are marked, ultimately, careful operation is the best way to prevent injury or accident.

Terms and Classifications

Symbol, color code and text meaning:
Safety alert sign - used to signify potential safety issue. Observe all safety information after this
symbol to avoid potential injury.

Red DANGER Indicates a dangerous situation. Indicates an imminent hazardous situation that, if not avoided,
will cause serious injury or death.

Orange WARNING Indicates a potentially hazardous situation that, if not avoided could result in serious
injury or death if proper safety measures are not taken.

Yellow CAUTION indicates a potentially hazardous situation that, if not observed, carries a risk of injury. If not
avoided, it may cause minor or moderate personal injury.

Safety sign maintenance

Safety Signs and decals are placed on the machine to warn of hazards and provide important operating and
maintenance instructions. Information on these signs are for your personal safety and the safety of those
around you.
• Keep signs clean so they can be easily seen
• Replace safety signs if damaged or missing
• Do not use solvent-based cleaners as they may damage the safety-labeled material.
