6.9 Adapter Sump Extensions

All adapter assemblies come equipped with sump
extensions (A) on both sides of the feeder house
opening. The purpose of these extensions to prevent
material from trying to escape the cross auger before
it reaches the feeder house opening on the combine.
The sump extensions are adjustable and should be
matched to the combine feeder house opening.

Adjustment:

1) Loosen the two M8 flange nuts (B) on the left
side and the two on the right side (not shown)
of the sump extensions.
2) Move the sump extension (C) left/right in the
slots to the desired position. The sump
extensions should stop even with the side of
the feeder house opening (D).
3) Tighten the four M8 flange nuts (B) loosened
in Step 1.
