    5. Those in attendance recite the main text of the beracha “Asher Bahar Banu Mikol Am…” with the

head of the household. They pause when he gets to “B aruch Ata…”
    6. During Yahatz, the custom is to say in Arabic the following:

              a. Hagda ksm l’lah allab’har, ala tnas ltrek, hen cherju jdudna mn masar. Ala yid Sidna oun’Bina,

Mussa bn Amram, Ala slam oursa, hen fik-hum ughat-hum mlchdma s-iba alhouriya. Hagda

yfikna HaKadosh Baruch Hu, venomar Amen.
                       i. “This is how God split the sea into twelve paths when our ancestors went out of
Egypt by the hand of our master and prophet, Moshe, son of Amram, may peace
be upon him. Just as God redeemed and saved our ancestors from slavery, in
this same manner God will take us out (of our current exile), let us say Amen.”

    7. During the chanting of “B ibhilu” the head of the household waves the ke’ara three times and
         lightly bumps the head.
              a. If a woman is pregnant, she gets it waved over her head four times; the extra time for the
                   baby inside her womb.

    8. The Zeroa (shank bone) is not eaten on either of the Seder nights. Rather its meat is removed and
the bone is kept throughout the year as an omen for protection. Some hang it at the entrance of
         the house for this reason.

    9. The egg on the Seder Plate is eaten by the eldest of the family. Some give it to a girl of
marriageable age to eat as a s egula to get married.

    10. Some have the tradition to keep a piece of the Afikomen all year round as an omen for
         protection.
              a. Some put it under the pillow of a woman giving birth, while others put it in her hand
                   during labour.
