The Eastern Region Honors the Founders with a Ceremony and a Celebration
                   The Ritualistic Ceremony
On May 23rdat 9:30am the Eastern Region Honored Founders Day by participating in a
Virtual Ritualistic Ceremony hosted by our very gracious Supreme Basileus - Dr Etta F.
Carter. We reflected upon the phenomenal work and awesome legacy that was started by
our " Great 8" as Soror Etta presented their beauty through her calm words. We held high
our "torch of love and commitment" with the National Sorority on this very special day in
                   our lives.

The Eastern Region Hosted a Special Celebration

On May 23rd at 10:30am the Eastern Region hosted a Special Celebration to further honor
our "Precious Pearls." This wonderful celebration opened with Greetings from our ER

Basileus - Charlotte Williams. A Prayer of Reflection was rendered by our ER Chaplain -
Naydene Williams. Soror Tanisha Dorville - Theta Chapter, read a Poem entitled
""Honoring the Pearl" to the tune of "Hero" by Mariah Carey.
Our Founders Day Tribute was written by Susan Richards and read by Leona Fowler -
Beta Omicron Chapter. Our sorors were beautifully adorned in white ensemble styles,
with matching hats, fascinators, and wraps for the occasion.

In between each segment, phrases and quotes were recited to emulate the 1920's era of our
"Great 8". We raised our glasses for an elegant toast to the past and the future of education
while singing our theme song entitled "The Greatest Love of All" by Whitney Houston.
We truly enjoyed our Sisterhood on this very special day of remembrance. We Salute -
Gladys Merritt Ross, Julia Asbury Barnes, Ella Wells Butler, Marguerite Gross, Florence
