3. Recommendation; We proposed a new Song- “Count on Me” by Whitney Houston and CeCe Winans
Current Song- Vive-La-Compagnie in the Xinos Club Handbook.
Rationale:
The current song is to the tune of an old English Drinking song. We propose to change the song to a more
suitable song with meaning; a song with lyrics that can relate to this generation and that this generation
can identify with moving forward.
st
4. Recommendation: We propose: Late Per Capita will not be accepted after October 1 of the current
year.
st
Current Wording: Late Per Capita will not be accepted after December 1 of the current year.
st
th
Rationale: When the due date for paying the annual per capita was changed from June 30 to May 31 .
The due date for late per capita was not changed or adjusted. December 1 is too late for Sorors to pay per
capita for the current sororal year. It is also too late for Sorors and Affiliates, especially Xinos and Kudos,
to be covered for liability, one third of the sororal year has already occurred and members are not covered
under the liability insurance and are often participating in chapter meetings, holding office, chairing
committees, and other activities, when they are not financial and uninsured. The Xinos and Kudos are
often meeting and implementing their activity calendar which includes community service activities.
It also places a tremendous hardship on our national, regional, and local financial officers attempting to
perform their assigned duties in a professional and efficient manner. Paying late fees this late in the
sororal year seriously impacts conference preparation for financial officers, regions, and host chapters.
With the implementation of this revised policy, all late per capita must be received by local financial
st
th
officers by September 30 of the current year and will not be accepted after October 1 of the current
year.
Respectfully Submitted:
Suzanne Gibbs, ER Recommendations Chair
