INTERNAL STRUCTURE REPORT

2019 Sororal Year

As the Eastern Region Internal Structure Chair I am responsible for compiling reports from the
Eastern Region Chapter Basilei as they review and evaluate our Regional Bylaws

Chapter Basilei were electronically sent a communication from this Internal Structure Chair in
November 2019, asking them to set aside time during their chapter meetings to discuss and review
the revised Manual of Policies and Procedures (MPP) and to make note of any specifics which need
attention for correction or clarification.

I received communication from the following Chapters that have had activities for 2019-2020 as it
relates to Internal Structure: Beta; Iota; Rho; & Epsilon Alpha. These chapters have set aside time on
their agendas during each chapter meeting to discuss Protocol and leadership. There has been an
emphasis on Protocol. Several chapters have conducted workshops during their Chapter Retreat
while others reviewed the document and provided time for questions and answers. Sorors had to find
specific information on protocol and time was given for questions to be raised.
Suggestions:

There are many creative ways chapters can provide time to review the MPP. All Sorors should bring
this document to Chapter Meetings and conferences. It is the responsibility of each Soror to know
the MPP document.
Recommendations:

All Chapter Meetings should include time to review and have open discussion on topics in the
Manual of Policies and Procedures.
