NATIONAL SORORITY OF PHI DELTA KAPPA, INC. • 80TH ANNUAL EASTERN REGIONAL CONFERENCE
National Sorority of Phi Delta Kappa, Inc.
REGIONAL COMMITTEE CHAIRPERSON REPORT
Sororal Year 2019
Y. E. S. Program Committee: Fundraising Regional Chair: Soror Tania M. Green- Clark
Briefly describe and highlight exemplary programs reported by chapters of the region.
Summarize exemplary reports only and list the contributing chapters at the end of the report.
Fundraising is a critical activity in the survival of the organizations program and development.
Many thanks to Delta Pi, Beta Zeta, Epsilon Sigma, Xi, Alpha Chi, and Rho chapters for the
submission of their reports.
A couple of chapters had the same idea with a Stay -at- Home Tea. Soror planned and
executed a stay at home tea as a startup fundraiser for the chapter and solicited from sister
chapters in effort to raise money and to start a chapter scholarship fund. One chapter held a
Silent Heroes: Pre-Father’s Breakfast. The purpose of this breakfast was to identify men in the
community, who impact the community in a positive way. All chapter’s plan, organize, and
implement some type of brunch/luncheon or attended a soror’s church as an activity to promote
sisterhood. Other fundraising activities included a Cinderella Pageant, Baby Contest, Adopt-a-
Family for Thanksgiving/Christmas, Fundraising project with Belk Department Store &
Boscov Stores, Dinner sales, Annual Scholarship Luncheon, an All Black Affair Ball.
I am sure that many other chapters had some type of fundraising activities an as we move
NSPDK forward we will be willing to share as a Region. It would be in the best interest of the
chapter to create a viable committee of individuals who are willing raise to the challenge of
locating and acquiring the funds in according to Y. E. S.
Respectfully,
