A NEW GENERATION OF GREAT NEW ORLEANS CHEFS
In New Orleans, a new generation of chefs is making their mark on the culinary scene. EJ Lagasse, son of the legendary Emeril Lagasse, has
come home to New Orleans after honing his skills in top kitchens around the world. With a deep respect for the traditions of Creole and
Cajun cooking, EJ serves as chef patron at Emeril’s, the family’s flagship restaurant, and is determined to carve out his own culinary identity.
In 2023, EJ was awarded the “New Talent of the Year Award 2024” by La Liste, a prominent French ranking and restaurant guide. He was
the sole recipient from North America to be honored.
Meanwhile, Dook Chase, a talented and ambitious young chef, is breathing new life into the family legacy with his own restaurant, Chapter
IV. Inspired by the rich history and flavors of New Orleans, Dook is on a mission to elevate Creole cuisine to new heights while preserving its
authenticity.
