     The Louisiana golfing journey begins in the northern   Monroe-Ruston Area

     Black Bear Golf Course, located at  Poverty
     Point Reservoir State Park, just off I-20 in the far
     eastern part of the region, was named a “best new
     affordable course” by Golf Digest when it opened
     and Golfweek’s “best in state” for seven years in a
     row. This Audubon Golf Trail site takes advantage
     of the rolling hills and offers great views of the
     surrounding countryside. The TifEagle greens are
     large, fast and well-protected by immense bunkers.
     The adjacent 17-room Black Bear Lodge or state
     park cabins provide a great place to stay and
     unwind after your day on the links.

     The Golf Club at Stonebridge and  Querbes
     Park Golf Course are Shreveport’s home courses.
     Both 18-hole courses are minutes from downtown
     Shreveport, the scenic Red River and all the casino
     hotels. Beauty and value makes Northwest Louisiana
     courses a great experience for all golfers.

     Squire Creek, in the quaint town of Choudrant
     near Ruston, is one of the region’s most desirable
     private country clubs and features on-site golf
     cottages. A Tom Fazio signature design, the course
     was listed in Golf Digest’s “best new private courses”
     when it opened. The greens have been compared to
     Augusta, but the open layout means you’ll rarely
     have a bad lie.

     Calvert Crossing is  located halfway  between
     Monroe and Ruston. It challenges with well-placed
     hazards throughout and undulating greens. This
     private club is available for play through the Troon
     Privé reciprocal program.
