ERIC NOEL WINSTON…..

           PERSONAL BIOGRAPHY (cont.) :

I am planning to study marketing advertising or public relations. My goal is to create my own marketing or
advertising firm to provide a platform for me to positively confront the misinformation that plagues our

society, especially for the African American community. I feel with my unique experiences as a biracial
male, I am almost perfectly suited to fill this role in uniting our community in that I belong to multiple
communities and have had experiences in both. I believe that my experiences can serve as an example of
how a multi-racial, multicultural community can not only exist, but prosper. I want to serve as a bridge
between multiple communities in a pursuit of bringing different cultures and communities together, and to

a place of mutual understanding and respect. It is my belief that we as people are always stronger when
we embrace our differences and instead of using those differences to isolate ourselves, rather use those
differences as a means to cooperate and work in unity.

Failure to do anything but achieve honor roll status in school was not accepted under any circumstances by
neither me, nor my family; and I have lived up to that expectation. Where I currently stand, I have a
weighted GPA of 3.98 with the majority of core classes being honors, or advanced placement since my
freshman year. Throughout my entire high school career, I have consistently committed to academic

achievement, and I have the record to prove it. With this, I can also be assertive of the fact that this
commitment to academic achievement will carry on with me through college. I will keep the same work
ethic and maintain the same academic success I had in high school all the way through college, not only to
ensure that this scholarship will not be wasted, but also to stay true to the values I have already held for
my entire life as a student.
