WHAT CAREER ASPIRATIONS: As an evolving Journalism major, minoring in Bioethics, while concen-
trating in Environment, Science & Health (Reporting). I’ve been exposed to new things that has caught
my attention, and that is environment justice reporting. As a Detroit Native, I am no stranger to the
many disparities and disadvantages that lay within environmental racism and injustices that this sys-
tem has placed on people of color, especially Black people. I have a passion for speaking to what is go-
ing on and what should be accessible for all, of course through writing.
HOW WILL THE SCHOLARSHIP FROM SKF HELP YOU: SKF has helped tremendously as this is my third
round of being a recipient for which I am grateful. SKF has helped me with my housing which is a big
help for me due to my mother being disabled and unable to help with the expenses of college aside
from loans.
