DEANDREA WHITE …..
HOW WILL YOU HANDLE THESE CHALLENGES ?
FACING ADVERSITY Caused by COVID-19 Pandemic, Systemic Racism, Blacks Murdered by Police:
Being a black woman, I face adversity in many aspects on a daily basis. In light of the current racial
climate of the United States involving systemic racism, blacks being murdered by the police, and sig-
nificantly high rates of COVID-19 within the black community, it is important to keep a level-headed
mindset and a positive outlook. If our community continues to fight for justice and equity, we will con-
quer the inequalities we face daily. In times like these, I think of my future goals and aspirations and
how I will leave my footprint in this world, by fighting for justice and equal rights as a lawyer and
judge.
KEEPING YOUR FAITH In God to Overcome the Adversities You Will Surely Face:
It is so important to trust in God and keep faith to overcome adversities you will face in your life. God
removes to replace, so be patient and do not rush God’s plan.
STAYING COMMITTED TO ACHIEVEMENT Academic Success, Individual Development, and Spiritual
Growth:
Personal growth is so important to me in all aspects. I think personal development, academic
achievement, and professional development are crucial for me at this point in my life. The things that
I am doing now will set the pathway for who I will be in the future and what I will do in the future.
