Upcoming Events at the Museum
The Museum will be celebrating its Grand Opening on Sunday, May 20, 2018 from 12 p.m. to
3 p.m. Come join us at the Museum Annex, 308 Providence Road, South Grafton, MA, as we
celebrate the opening of the doors to life-sized displays, vintage cruisers and motorcycles, a gift
shop and so much more.
The Museum Annex will initially open on Thursday, April 19, 2018. It will feature new exhibits and
temporary exhibits each month. The Museum hours of operation will be Tuesdays and Thursdays
11 a.m. to 2 p.m. and Saturdays 12 p.m. to 3 p.m.
In May, a special display will be on hand for the Grand Opening. It will commemorating the 153rd
anniversary of the founding of the Massachusetts State Police on May 16, 1865. June will highlight
the Mounted Unit, with a visit by members of the Mounted Unit and some of the horses they ride
on patrol. Also featured in June will be guest speaker Lieutenant Colonel (Ret.) Ronald Guilmette
who will be signing copies of his books and speaking on the origins of the MSP.
On Thursday, April 19th and Friday April 20th the Learning Center will feature ‘Make and Take’
events. After viewing the Museum’s collections, children can make their own police badge, patch,
or a challenge coin, which they can take home.
‘Make and Take’ introductory projects are drop-in from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00p.m.
