                              Verbs  generally  require  an  object  (called


                      transitive verbs), but some verbs do not require an


                      object  (called  intransitive  verbs).  Verbs  are  the



                      most essential type of words in a sentence. Even in


                      spoken language, we can express an idea that other


                      people can understand with just a verb.



               B.  KINDS OF VERB


                      1. Transitive Verbs


                                 Verbs that require an object to complete the


                          meaning  of  the  sentence  or  the  meaning  of  the



                          sentence.  Transitive  verbs  include  drink,  watch,


                          read, fill, open, close, etc.
