Overview
The Trafford Centre is the third largest shopping centre in the UK, located on the outskirts of Manchester. The
project was constructed by Bovis Construction.
The project was a fast-paced steel frame and structural reinforced concrete project which required a significant
amount of planning and coordination of contract works, management of contractors and regular inspections and
audits throughout the day.
Achievements
● The project won Bovis Construction internal “Safe Project of the Year” for two consecutive years.
● The Health and Safety Executives principal inspector invited the Health and Safety Commission, the highest
level of Health and Safety in the UK, to visit the site due to the high standards of Health and Safety achieved on
the project.
