• All work stations must be kept clean, clear
and organized. Keep a bin and brush/pan
close by.
• Good housekeeping must be maintained at

materials, nuts/bolts etc. in cardboard
boxes. Use proper containers.
• A clean work station eliminates the risk of
trip and slip hazards.
• A good work station generates a positive
work attitude, quality workmanship and a

work place.
• Clean as you go. Ensure your work station
is left tidy and organized before you leave
for the day.
• Ensure your work bench has a means of
securing equipment being worked i.e. a
vice.
