Drip trays
• Mobile generators or pumps must be
placed on drip trays.
• Spill kits should be located nearby in
case of leak or spill.
5. Housekeeping and Storage
• Care should be taken when re-fueling.
Use a fuel funnel and use designated
areas for re-fueling to prevent spills.
• All plant and site vehicles must have
their own spill kit.
• Report any chemical spills immediately
to your Supervisor so the clean-up can
be arranged immediately. Ensure
drains in the area are protected
immediately.
• Any equipment when not in use, that
has loose hydraulic fuel lines or has a
risk of leaking oil must be located in a
drip tray.
• Ensure contamination, including
contaminated rainwater is disposed of
safely
