Access routes and walkways

• Clear access routes must be

provided to all work areas.

• Access routes must be segregated
from plant and traffic movement.

1. Safe Access and Egress
• Access routes must be free from trip
hazards.

• A suitable grade of stone should be
used where tar is not available to

ensure surface is flat.

• Access routes must be clearly
identified with signage.

• Sufficient lighting must be provided

on all walkways.

• Access routes should not be

diverted without prior approval from
Jacobs, communication to users and
relevant signage in place.
