SPEAKER BIOS
MR. MARK BOWER
Mark Bower has been in community banking for over 30 years. He currently is
the Executive Vice President/CFO of Home State Bank, a locally owned bank
headquartered in Loveland Colorado with 11 branches in Northern Colorado and total
assets of approximately $850 million, where he has worked the past 21 years.
MR. DON CHILDEARS
President/CEO of the Colorado Bankers Association, Don Childears has served
CBA since 1975, preceded by legislative and campaign work for a Congressman. He
completed his Juris Doctor from University of Denver College of Law, and BSBA from
Colorado State University, where he was student body president.
MR. STEVE HOUSE
Steve House was elected chairman of the Colorado Republican Committee in March
2015, and brings over 30 years of business experience to the state Party. Steve has
worked as an engineer, service manager, a sales leader and has held a variety of
executive leadership roles in the healthcare industry.
REPRESENTATIVE DOMINICK MORENO
Dominick Moreno was elected in 2012 to represent House District 32, which includes
Commerce City and parts of unincorporated Adams County. He serves as the majority
assistant caucus chair and is vice chairman of the Transportation & Energy Committee.
MR. JIM REUTER
Jim Reuter is Executive Vice President of FirstBank and President of FirstBank
Support Services. His primary responsibility is oversight of the following operations
for FirstBank: Information Technology, 24 hour customer contact center, Internet/
mobile banking, credit and debit cards, marketing, business services, and loan/
mortgage operations.
MR. JASON SHROCK
Jason Schrock is the Chief Economist in the Governor’s Office of State Planning and
Budgeting. Jason’s primary job responsibilities include analyzing and forecasting the
Colorado economy, forecasting state government revenue, and analyzing legislation
and policy proposals. He also researches a variety of issues of interest to the
Governor and director of OSPB, primarily related to the economy and tax policy.
