SPEAKER BIOS
MS. CHÉRIE TALBERT
Chérie Talbert serves as the Senior Vice President for the Home Builders Association
(HBA) of Metro Denver. In this role, she manages and coordinates HBA government
relations throughout the 32 municipalities within the eight-county Metro Denver area.
She facilitates political relationships and manages the HBA’s advocacy. She also serves
as the executive director of the HBA’s political committee, the Metro Housing Coalition.
MR. SCOTT SANDBERG
Scott Sandberg is a partner in the Denver office of Snell & Wilmer LLP. His practice is
concentrated in commercial litigation, including all phases of federal, state, administra-
tive trials, arbitrations, and preliminary injunction proceedings. He advises clients in
both the financial services and construction industries.
MR. DAN HALEY
Dan Haley serves as President and CEO for the Colorado Oil and Gas Association. In his
role, he oversees the policy and public affairs for COGA. Founded in 1984, the Colorado
Oil & Gas Association’s (COGA) mission is to foster and promote the beneficial,
efficient, responsible and environmentally sound development, production and use of
Colorado oil and natural gas.
MS. JENIFER WALLER
Since 1999, Jenifer Waller has maintained the position of Senior Vice President for the
Colorado Bankers Association. She started in community banking in Southern Colorado
in 1985 and attended the Western States School of Banking. Prior to her days at CBA,
Waller spent almost five years as a bank examiner for the Colorado Division of Banking.
REPRESENTATIVE ANGELA WILLIAMS
Angela Williams is the current Representative to the Colorado General Assembly’s
House District 7. Elected to the Colorado House of Representatives in 2010 as a
Democrat, Williams represents a dynamic and diverse community which comprises the
Northeast Denver neighborhoods of North Park Hill, Stapleton, Green Valley Ranch and
Montbello. House District 7 includes the world class Denver International Airport.
SENATOR MARK SCHEFFEL
Mark Scheffel is the current Majority Leader of the Colorado Senate. First elected to the
Colorado State Senate as a Republican in 2008, Scheffel represents Senate District 4
in Douglas County, which encompasses Castle Rock, Larkspur, Parker, Franktown, and
Castle Pines. Scheffel has also served on the board of the Skycliff Stroke Center and on
the citizen advisory board for The Wildlife Experience.
