1995, Synod Executive Search Committee in 1996, assuming leadership to serve as Moderator

of Asian Presbyterian Council in 1997, the first women moderator in our APC history. She also
participated in the Administrative Commission for Hanmi Presbytery 韓美中會 in 2006, the AC
was disbanded in June 2014 after General Assembly voted to close the Hanmi Presbytery.

07. Ms. Josephine Y. Lu has continuously devoted herself to help the tasks of our Presbytery of

Los Ranchos that she represented the Presbytery as Commissioner to attend the 208th General
Assembly at Albuquerque in New Mexico in 1996. She also served as Commissioner to partici-

pated in the Synod Assembly in 1997 and assuming the leadership to become the Moderator of
Committee on Representation in 1999. Ms. Josephine Y. Lu was elected as Moderator of Pres-
bytery Women in 2004. Ms. Josephine Y. Lu has been blessed by God for her leadership talents

and is willing to contribute her time for church services.

08. Mr. Joe Chien-Tsu Lu, 盧建治，has diligently participated in the Administrative Commission
for Camp and Conferences of the Synod of Southern California and Hawaii Presbyterian Church

in 1990s. Mr. Lu also participated in the Committee of Finance in the Presbytery of Los Ranchos
during the period of 1990-2000.

In short, we, the first generation Taiwanese American or Formosan American, have set a good
example to serve our Presbytery, our Synod, and our General Assembly beyond our local
church, and also to participate in the global ministry of World Council of Churches, therefore,

we expect our next generations of Taiwanese American who are born and educated in the Unit-
ed States to move their footsteps for-

ward to become the blessing of others
with God's Love and Jesus Ministry in
either Presbytery, Synod, or General

Assembly, or World Council of
Churches to fulfill the great command
of our Lord Jesus, Amen. (Special
