I’ve been with Essex for 5 years in December, it’ll be here before I know it. I started off
as leasing at Brighton Ridge and then I moved on to be an ACM at Pinnacle on Lake
Washington. From there I went on to be a Sr. ACM at Foothill Commons. The best thing I
like about Essex is the people. Before working at Essex I had never worked with so many
passionate and supportive individuals. Essex has a network of employees who are all
helping to better each other. The best thing I like about my community is the way it just
sprawls, there’s one giant open green space near the front, then a giant pool in the next
Iraq Rivas open space and then several small ponds with ducks.

Common

I have worked for Essex since November 2004, having been part of the BRE acquisition in
2014. I began my tenure with the company as a Leasing Assistant at Pinnacle at Carmel
Creek in San Diego. I worked my way up the chain to a Community Manager. In 2013 I
was brought on to the IT team as an Application Support Specialist where I supported 7
systems including Yardi, Ops Technology, DocuSign, etc. From their I grew into my current
Jameson role as an IT Developer. Presently I am responsible for report writing, data
corrections/protection, and new system implementations/upgrades. I enjoy my current
Atlas role because I get to spend my time trying to make all of our associates’ lives easier.

I love to run and am an avid marathoner. I have completed 7 half and 3 full marathons.
In 2013 I had to give up running to pursue my education, but since graduating in May
2020 I am eager to get back to my passion
