“Possession is equal to ownership” Tiika retorted and took off with the toy in
her mouth. “Catch me if you can, mother of dogs!”

After a brief tussle, the Dogmother was able to retrieve the toy and wrapped

it for its rightful new owner, Big Eddie, the Golden Retriever who was coming
for a visit with his folks from Laurence’s Lodge on Boxing Day. “Hopefully he

won’t notice you’ve drooled all over it”, the Dogmother said wryly.

After the presents were all wrapped

and the dogs had cuddle time with the
Dogparents while they watched TV,

the Dogfather announced that it was
time for bed and everyone needed to

go out to the toilet prior to retiring
for the night.

Charlie immediately snuck off to
bed hoping that with all the dogs
staying, the Dogparents wouldn’t

notice that he didn’t go out.

But the Dogparents have been
around a good many dog years

and were right onto it. “Come on Charlie, you too. And rolling over on your back
