there for later” said Dogmother.

“Bonny Bonsai stop barking at the big
bird now and come on up. Has anyone
seen Rosie?”

“She’s round by the chickens, Ma”
said Chloe as she rolled in the grass

scratching her back. “I heard her
and Tiika talking about having chicken or guinea fowl for breakfast. They’re
checking out whether they can get one together, and Maisie’s keeping a

lookout!”

Chloe was often disapproving of some of the antics of the other dogs and

known to tell tales! “This is unsanctioned activity”, said Sophie. “Don’t worry
Ma, I’ll take care of this” and off she huffed.

Kentucky tut tutted - “silly young whippersnappers,” he said.
