The Saskatoon Airport Authority continues to closely monitor the situation involving COVID-19. We remain in
regular contact with our airlines, agencies and partners to ensure preparedness and are actively taking steps
as directed by the Public Health Agency of Canada (PHAC) and the Saskatchewan Health Authority to ensure
the safety of our guests and the general public.
Our partners at the Canada Boarder Services Agency (CBSA) have had enhanced screening measures in place
at Skyxe, and all other major Canadian airports, since earlier this year, which includes additional screening
questions in an effort to identify potential travellers that may have been exposed. If a passenger is identified,
they are being asked to report themselves to the Saskatchewan Health Authority and self-isolate.
While the Public Health Agency of Canada continues to assess the public health risk associated with COVID-19
to Canadians as low, the World Health Organization has now characterized it as a global pandemic. Given new
information involving the first presumptive-confirmed case of COVID-19 in Saskatchewan, we have decided to
further enhance our supplementary cleaning measures that are already in place, including the utilization of
higher-grade cleaning products and supplementary cleaning and sanitizing of our highest touch-points such as
handrails, kiosks, and armrests. Our heightened cleaning plan for the terminal quadruples our standard
cleaning protocols and continues to utilize high-grade cleaning products; ensuring the airport remains a safe
        place to visit.
We will continue to share information and keep the public informed via our website and social media
channels. If passengers have any questions directly related to their flight or travel plans, we advise them to
check the Government of Canada website for the most up-to-date Travel Advisories and to contact their
        airline directly.
Effective immediately, the Government of Saskatchewan has made it into law & ordered mandatory 14-day
self isolation for anyone who has travelled internationally or has come into contact with someone with COVID-
        19. Penalties could include a $2,000 fine for failing to self-isolate.

        Terminal Precautions
Through the Air Terminal Building, purple tape has been placed on the floor to indicate 6 ft recommended
distancing for waiting lines. Every second check-in kiosk has been turned off to create more space between
guests checking in. Post-security Tim Horton's, our current food and beverage operation, is limited to take out
options only. Airport seating throughout the terminal provides ample space to practice social distancing.
