               4. The Next Generation of Biologic Architecture

               Plant-based systems began as a workaround—an alternative
               platform for producing biologic drugs when conventional
               manufacturing proved too costly, too slow, or too fragile.
               But they’ve evolved into something much more ambitious.

               With advances in genetic engineering, immune modeling,
               and plant molecular biology, edible biologics are no
               longer catching up to traditional platforms—they’re
