The Strategic Role of Species

As we’ll explore in the next section, this design logic
extends beyond the molecular level to the organism level.

The choice of host species—lettuce, duckweed, rice—isn’t
               just agricultural.
               It determines:

                   • How the protein is expressed
                   • Where it's stored within the plant
                   • How it's stabilized and delivered
                   • And what kind of immune context it creates upon
                       ingestion

Each plant brings different architectures, different
advantages and constraints. And choosing the right one is
not a matter of crop preference.

It’s a matter of therapeutic alignment.

The next generation of biologics won’t just be built in new
factories. They’ll be grown in new frameworks—where
durability is the output, not just delivery. Where
immune literacy is embedded in the molecule itself.

And where the architecture of the drug is also the
architecture of the system it’s trying to heal.
