on a long red carpet. The son is walking proudly, with his

father holding the jacket behind him and his mother

rolling out the carpet in front, bathed in sweat.

This cartoon highlights a significant issue in modern

parenting - the tendency to overprotect children. In so

doing, parents do keep their children free of worries, yet

they also deprive them of the opportunity to face

challenges. As a result, they may grow up lacking

problem-solving skills.

In my opinion, overprotection is extremely bad for

children’s development. Instead of doing everything for

them, parents should encourage their children to carve

out their own paths, which will equip them with the

necessary skills to succeed in the long run. After all, life is

not a smooth sailing but a journey full of twists and turns.
