Introduction of Servocyclotherm G at Digboi Refinery – An Import Substitution
The above picture shows the blends of fresh Servocyclotherm G and fresh Dowcal 100 with no
apparent change in the resultant blend.
APPLICATION OF SERVOCYCLOTHERM G
On the strength of the above findings, Servocyclotherm G was introduced in the Solvent Dewaxing
Unit in August 2019 with initial concentration level of 50% by volume to provide for extra
protection against high Iron and Chloride content in coolant solution observed during analysis of
used fluid sample. In addition, there was build up of brownish solid particles in suspension due to
formation of rust (Fe 2O 3). Performance of Servocyclotherm G has been found to be excellent in the
deoiling process as expressed by concerned production engineers at Digboi Refinery.
